Although Visa Gift Cards are not currently sold by mainland Chinese retailers, imported cards from the United States can be purchased easily on Taobao. Search the term “Visa Gift Card” and you will find many sellers. 

Key points when using a Visa Gift Card:

1. Before purchasing, contact the Taobao seller and verify the gift card can be used for online purchases. If the seller can’t give you an answer, or seems to know very little about using the cards, find another seller. 

2. Most gift cards require the card to be registered with US postal code before making online purchases and will not work until this is done. This can be done on the gift card issuer's website. It doesn't matter what zip code you use, just as long as something is in their database. You can use 10001 (for example, New York City).

As Visa Gift Cards are issued by several different companies and banks in the United States, the specific registration website will vary. (Again, this is something the Taobao seller of the card should be familiar with and able to help; if he is not, don’t purchase from him.)

3. When finally using the card to purchase a subscription on our website, ensure that you are using a VPN service and your location is set to the United States. If your VPN location is not the United States, the currency being paid may change and could cause problems with the card being used.
